Happy Monday, and welcome to this week's newsletter! For those of you who saw last week's edition, you may be wondering why this is still a bcc email. We've had a busy week on staff and have been delayed in our plan to migrate (there are simply A Lot of You!!), so the Google Group will be in effect by next week. Apologies for any inconvenience — you may already be on the Google Group, but it won't be active til Monday. Til then, here's this week's scoop!

We're hosting our semesterly infosession tomorrow night, Tues Aug 31, 7-8 PM PT (UTC - 7). We'll be talking about our course, our curriculum, and our staff, and you'll get a chance to chat with me and all of our wonderful TAs afterwards! This is the best opportunity to ask us questions and learn if this course is a fit for you.

That's right — our first lecture is next Tuesday (!!!!), just 8 days from now! As always, we'll stream this lecture on Twitch.tv/figmadecal. (It'll be our first time streaming while running in-person lecture — in the event that something goes wrong, we'll plan for a makeup stream later in the week). Join us to hear about the course expectations and an intro to basic tools.
