Account Creation


To make a Figma account, just head to figma.com and click Sign up.

It's important that you make sure to use your @berkeley.edu email when registering!

  1. Visit figma.com
  2. Click Sign up and set your info (including Berkeley email address)
  3. Open confirmation email!

Education Verification


Once you've made an account with your Berkeley address, get verified as an edu account. This gives you access to more features and flexibility!

  1. Visit figma.com/education
  2. Click Get verified
  3. Follow instructions!

Accessing Our Resources


To access any additional resources, check out our course content! All lectures and activities are publicly available. We run the course each semester as a Decal, so come apply in the Spring <3!

🎉 That's it! Figma works in the browser, which means you don't even need to install anything to use this or follow along in the workshop. There are some benefits to using the desktop app, so we'll explain below.

Desktop App


The desktop app is generally more robust and allows you to use local fonts. If you prefer having a separate app when working, feel free to download! (Not required.)

  2. Click the appropriate link on the left
  3. Follow instructions to install
