Hello,

Welcome to week 7 (and the second half of the course already!) We've now covered the most basic tools, and will go into features that are the next step up, starting with this week: Auto Layout and plugins!

Lecture 7 — Auto Layout + Plugins

Our lecture this week will be on two different features, Auto Layout and Plugins! Autolayout is one of those tools that are trickier to grasp on the first try but becomes super handy as you get familiar with its abilities in "automating" areas where you would usually manually align and layout items. We'll also touch on a few more design and accessibility principles, as well as discuss how Plugins work in Figma and some of the most popular (and our favorite) ones!

Homework 7 — Auto Layout Menu

In this assignment, you'll be creating a menu or tracing one you like using Auto Layout to format all your different sections. This assignment tends to be more challenging and we recommend going through and fully understanding this week's Lab 7 before starting this homework. Also feel free to drop by in #homework-help on our Slack channel!

Lab 7 — Auto Layout Flexbox Froggy

This week's lab is a good file to work through before attempting homework. Auto Layout Flexbox Froggy is a game intended for you to play around with and learn the different properties of the Auto Layout feature! As you work through each level, you'll become familiar with all the different functions—Alignment, Direction and Distribution, Spacing and Order, and Nesting.
